Cattle keeping
Milk is the main product of dairy farming and much of it is exported. Some is sold in the near by shops on small scale or transported to other parts of the country on large scale and also consumed locally. This milk is handled very carefully as it can easily be contaminated if not handled well to avoid losses.
Meat is also a main source of income because it is consumed locally and the rest is sold off thus income to the owner of the cow. Actually a family with many cattle is considered wealthy. Cows are very important in the country due to the variety of uses that they provide for example they produce cow dung which is used as manure, , hides and skins, milk, meat and butter.
